2-U-NEEK consist of teenage twins Ashley and Ashton of San Antonio, Texas. Born May 29, 1990 to parents Joyce and Ron, it did not take long for people to recognize that the twins have something special that attracts like a magnet. Due to the large amount of attention that Ashley and Ashton received at grocery stores or parks or anywhere they were at, Joyce was encouraged to enter the twins in a baby pageant when they were about 2 years old. Joyce and Ron were truly surprised when they won first place.

Twins Ashley and Ashton attended Nazarene Christian School and Day Care. The school had several productions throughout the year, and this is where complete strangers made the twins parents realize that the children were not only cute but extremely talented. “Take them to Hollywood and do something with your kids” they would always comment to the twins parents. Although Ashley and Ashton’s parents appreciated the kind words, no move to Hollywood was made. However, the twins did get a local agent and booked their first audition together. They have been fortunate to work with Spy Kids II, TV commercials, a TNT film, print, theater voice-overs and more.

It was Ashley that asked her mom if she could take ballet classes. Mom agreed and Ashton was dragged along. Later the twins were in dance, and loving it. They also started performing with instructor Tino Valles. They traveled over all of the San Antonio area performing in talent shows. A few years later, the twins began to sing and have recently formed the entertainment duo called 2-U-NEEK.

2-U-NEEK offers a unique musical blend of pop and R & B flavor as well as the dance styles of hip hop. Now that’s a combination. Twins Ashley and Ashton have that old school/ new school vibe working. Their dad Ron, D-j’ed around town and they were influenced early in life with various music styles.

2-U-NEEK has just recorded their newest single entitled “Our Time”. It is definitely a dance track. The twins co-wrote this song with the assistance from their manager mom Joyce. It is a song that really hits close to home. It is about the Show life of twins Ashley and Ashton. The track is the product of Michael Bailey and producer/engineer is Tim Gerron. Ashley and Ashton also helped arrange, produce, and choreograph. They, along with their manager realized that being in San Antonio would not expose them to the top vocal coaches, choreographers and songwriters. They were also faced with several other challenges as well, one being financial. They never got discouraged. They new in order to achieve their goal they were going to have to work hard and do some things themselves that required a lot of creativity. The twins and the entire family have been on an exciting ride with this dream and hope that all of you reading this will ride with them. Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.
